Commissioning a Painting

A commissioned painting is one of the most personal and enduring gifts you can give — or receive. Whether it is a beloved landscape, a place that holds meaning, or one of our native birds painted with the stillness and light that I love to capture, each commission is approached with the same care and attention I bring to all my work.

The process

I work closely with each client to understand what they are looking for — the subject, the mood, the scale, and how the work will live in its space. There is no rigid brief. A conversation is usually all it takes to establish a direction, and I will guide you from there.

I work in both oil and watercolour, and am happy to discuss landscapes, native birds, and interior scenes as commissioned subjects, based on a photo, or even just an idea.

What to expect

— An initial conversation to discuss your vision, preferred medium, scale and timeframe

— A quote based on size and complexity

— Delivery or collection arranged on completion

Commissioned works typically take between four and sixteen weeks depending on complexity and my current schedule.
